A Relevant Issue

There are many things you may not know about illiteracy.

For example, did you know:

  • Illiteracy affects our communities. It is not a problem of the past.
  • Many Marion County citizens are unemployed because they are functionally illiterate.
  • More eighth grade students in WV are illiterate now than there were in 1998.
  • Illiteracy is a family issue.
